VDMA Services GmbH publishes legal guidelines, technical regulations, and industry guidesfor the international business of the capital goods industry and its customers. In addition to VDMA, these works are published by other international organizations in the industrial sector. These include the Research Council for Mechanical Engineering, the European Material Handling Federation, and World Robotics. 

These guides deal with issues relating to contract law, management issues in the capital goods industry, and the implementation of research findings from materials science and other fields. Industry leaders support communication between VDMA member companies and important customer markets, presenting solutions and their providers. The publishing division of VDMA Services has its own expertise in concept development, media design, marketing, and distribution, and also draws on external expertise when necessary.
